Yesterday, the story of The quest for food by The Lady in Black(Amanda Toh) and her companions (Chan and me) began. Choc buffet at fullerton was heavenly but it was so not worth it. No one can eat buffet like that. So sickeningly sweet. Nevertheless, we are determined to make every Fri a food discovery day and we are going Canivore next. After that, met up with Shihan and we went St James, where some law people were also hanging out. It was a boooring club but shihan and I went crazy traipising the place and hopping outlets and we were practically the only people dancing most of the time. Sigh. Haha..the manager gave us drinks on the house though. Must have been seduced by shihan’s exotic aura. I hope I don’t go back there. Haha.

Mum had a vacant hotel room in MM which I immediately took over so that Team Phuket can extend our adventures which included taking sleazy shots( the pictures here are the most decent that I can find already) , watching stupid films and playing in the toilet. It was so fricking funny with 4 ppl cramping in the queen sized bed.

Popo’s birthday celebration at Marina Mandarin. It was a grand event complete with full force of family members and friends, all gathered in a cozy and beautifully decorated ballroom to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday. At the top row, cousin Tristen with sis and me, mum and dad looking amused, grandmother making a speech and singing. The handsome silvered hair man in the centre is my grand-uncle, affectionately known as Papa, he is super funny, witty and enthusiastic. He can go anywhere and just chat with random strangers about anything. So cute! At the bottom row from the left, Team Phuket wihout Dalun, my siblings (I am like the bloody shortest even in heels, not fair!!) and the star of the day- my grandmother.

Years ago, we promised each other that we will celebrate our birthdays together every year, be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper, a slot will always be left so that we can share each other’s special day. We are more sisters than friends, with each knowing and accepting the others’ indvidual quirks, oddities and uniqueness. Altivo was beautiful!! There were fake snowfalls and I had a surprise dedication by Joyce and Shan. In addition, we decided to enhance the value of our experience by stomping down the mountain in heels and rain. It was a lovely birthday with two of the people I treasure the most. I thak God for giving them to me. I am grateful for their influence and grounding in my life for the past 7 years and many more to come.

On the eve of my birthday, I met up with the many darlings in my life. The 4D babes and the law school people whom I have so grown to love. My sister rocks too by giving me a surprise birthday greetings when I got home.

Comm’s Ball. I declare Amanda-jie, Chan and Cheryl the sweetest and most lovable people. Thank you so much for the flowers, the handwritten napkins and the journey down to Fullerton to say Hi and more. It was an interesting social thing with Tze Phern and I bitching the whole time and oogling at people.

Beach babes and beasts. Beaching in Phuket was a failure. We barely lasted 45 mins reclining in the hot sun and attempting to read our books which we had zealously bought from Times and borrowed from our nation’s collection.
